There was a time when Agrium and Mosaic where more than $40 apart in share price. Those days are over, as support became an issue in the downtrend in Agrium shares. Of the “big three”, Agrium (AGU) lost the least (percentage wise) over the past six months. In the past week Agrium shares have gained over 30%. This has sparked some optimism amongst option traders.

 

 

 

YYCAP – AGU 2010 80 Call

Today’s Potash option of the day is the 2010 80 strike AGU call, with 210 lots crossing the tape. This position is fairly bold, with option traders expecting close to a double from today’s current trading price.
