After a long downtrend in Potash Corp shares, the stock has a chance at closing the Oct 30th, 2008 session back above $25 billion in market capitalization.

Does this mean much to the average investor? Probably not, market capitalization swings daily in todays volatile markets.

However I can pretty much guarantee that the $25 billion mark isn’t lost on the executives in Saskatoon. Of course the union reps will realize this as well.

Currently Potash options activity on the front month November contract has been heavy on both the call side and the put side around the 80 – 90 strike call level and the 85 – 75 put side.
